Healthy Clubs
Healthy Food Initiative
We launched our Healthy Food Initiative last Thursday evening in the Arus. We had Iarlaith Gavin and Ronan Delappe make fruit and nut balls while Sacha Kearns and Keela Flanagan made freshly squeezed orange juice.
It was wonderful to see the children who walked come in afterwards and try out everything. A huge thanks to John Daly for sponsoring bananas, apples, oranges and seaweed infused water drinks for us for the night.
We would like to encourage healthy treats and drinks at blitzs, after games etc. In this regard I will be putting on a healthy food workshop in the coming months. I will keep you posted. In the meantime if you want any ideas or help with alternatives for blitz etc. please let me know.
If anyone would like to help out with any aspect of the Healthy Club initiatives please contact Dolores Andrew-Gavin at irishhealthhour@gmail.com. Thanks!
